Meabh Cody Green Party Candidate for Stillorgan - 2009 LE

From the 2009 Local Electios in Stillorgan , a leaflet for Green Party candidate Meabh Cody. She polled 655 votes and failed to win a seat.

    Are the Greens so out of touch or maybe she has calculated that with all the new plumb jobs created in NAMA for Accountants, Financial advisers etc, she might get a thank you vote since stillorgan would be a good catchment area for such types
    Then again are the voters there that stupid?

    Sadly the Greens are totally out of touch.

    Maybe shes hoping to follow in the footsteps of other failed Green election candidates such as Elizabeth Davidson, Vincent P Martin and Gene Feighery.

    Over 1/3 of the Green politicians who failed to get elected or lost seats in the local elections in 2009 have already been appointed to state quangos by Gormley or Ryan. These appointments were neither transparent of fair, and there was no formal interview process.

    Maybe Meabh is hoping for a cushy little quango appointment?
